season, I hope you’re all gearing up for a fantastic Fourth of July weekend filled with joy, laughter, and
cherished moments. Whether you're hosting a festive barbecue, spending time with family, or hitting
the links with friends, let’s celebrate our independence and make the most of this time together.
I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in June’s
tournament. We had an incredible turnout, showcasing impressive skills on the course and the
camaraderie that makes our club truly special. The Big Game was a highlight, and I appreciate your
sportsmanship and spirited involvement.
Upcoming Events
As we look forward, we have some exciting events lined up for July that you won’t want to miss:
- Member-Guest Tournament:
Time is running out! Sign-ups for our highly anticipated Member-Guest Tournament will close on July
8 at midnight. This is one of our premier events of the year, and it draws participants from across the
club. If you haven’t registered with your guest yet, make sure you do so to be part of this fantastic
experience. It’s a wonderful opportunity to showcase your skills and strengthen bonds with friends or
family.

come out and support your fellow members. The atmosphere promises to be exhilarating, and your
support makes a significant difference—let’s create unforgettable memories together!
I’d also like to extend my congratulations to a few of our lucky members:
- Kevin Hoodward won a $25 American Golf gift card just for attending last month’s general meeting!
- Richard Fernandez has once again proven his luck by winning the 50/50 drawing—congratulations,
Richard!
- Although we faced a scheduling conflict at Skylinks in June that led to the cancellation of the skins
game, I’m excited to announce that we’re back on track this July! Stay tuned for further details.

tournament at 6 PM at the Skylinks Café. This is a great opportunity for all members to gather, share

President’s Letter – June 2025
Welcome to June, everyone!
I hope you all had a fantastic Memorial Day weekend! With June here, many of us are gearing up to
celebrate graduations and Father’s Day. I imagine a lot of us will be firing up the barbecue for some
delicious home-cooked meals this holiday.
Last month, we enjoyed two great tournaments with some incredible outcomes and generous payouts
for participants. We’re now in the second and third rounds of the Mayor’s Cup tournament, and I hope
everyone involved is having a blast!
Just a reminder: we have our general board meeting on the third Thursday of this month. It’s a great
opportunity to discuss general club business. Plus, if you attend, you could win a $25 gift card from
American Golf and secure preferential tee times for the next tournament. Also, I’d like to kindly remind
everyone to use full names when signing your group up for tournaments, rather than nicknames (e.g.,
please write John Clark instead of JC). It can get a bit confusing, as we don’t always recognize
everyone’s nicknames.
Looking ahead, the Saturday following our general meeting will feature another exciting
tournament—The Big Game. Additionally, I want to remind everyone about the fantastic benefits of
purchasing a range key as a member of the men’s club. Not only will you receive a dollar-for-dollar
match on your investment, but you’ll also enjoy a generous 20% discount on apparel in the pro shop!
We’re also in the process of enhancing our website by adding tabs specifically for the club, including
a section for the President’s monthly letter and one for the general club meeting minutes. This will
help keep everyone informed about club activities and updates.
Thank you all for your continued support, and I look forward to seeing everyone out on the course!
Wishing everyone a fantastic June, and remember, fairways and greens, everyone!
Best regards,
Ted Lewandowski

President’s Letter – May 2025
Welcome to May!
As we step into the month of May, it’s a great opportunity to reflect on how the first four months of this
year have flown by. Time seems to have passed quickly, and as we look back, I want to express my
heartfelt appreciation to everyone in the club for your continued support, patience, and understanding
as we have transitioned from the old board to the new board. Your engagement and positive attitudes
have made this process much smoother, and it truly embodies the spirit of our community.
I’d like to take a moment to recognize the hard work and dedication of the new board members. Each
of you has committed your valuable time and effort over these past few months, and I am grateful for
the incredible job you’ve done. The level of commitment you’ve shown has likely exceeded what we
all anticipated at the outset. With the successful completion of our first four tournaments, we’ve
created a strong foundation for the rest of the year, and I’m excited about what’s ahead!
I’m thrilled to announce that the club has awarded over 15,000 points to our members thus far. This
number is bound to grow as we continue to host more tournaments and engage more participants
throughout the year. These points contribute to enhancing the competitive spirit within our club and
are a testament to the enthusiasm of our members. I would like to emphasize that this impressive
total does not even account for the contributions from our ongoing 50-50 raffle.
Now, let’s take a moment to celebrate our tournament winners! I want to extend my congratulations to
all those who participated in our tournaments this year. Your participation not only enhances the
competition but also strengthens the camaraderie among us. Thank you all for upholding the values
of the club – sportsmanship, respect, and enjoyment of the game – which truly embody our mission.
We have seen some thrilling tournaments unfold this year. We kicked things off in January with the
Kickoff Tournament, which sparked a great deal of enthusiasm amongst the members. The Past
Presidents Tournament followed, and it was fantastic to hear so much positive feedback about it. A
special thank you goes out to those who helped organize this event, ensuring everything goes
smoothly.
We also introduced a new format with the 4-Man Memorial Tournament, which added a refreshing
twist to our competitive line-up. I had the pleasure of participating in this event last month, and I can
confidently say it was a lot of fun for everyone involved!
As we move forward, I would like to highlight the Mayor’s Cup Match Play Qualifier. Congratulations
to all 64 players advancing to the next round! I encourage you to enjoy this unique format, embrace
the competition, and best of luck to each of you. I’m eager to hear about the exciting matches and
stories that emerge from this tournament. The camaraderie and friendly rivalries that develop during
match play are what truly make these events special.
I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who volunteered their time to participate in the
Quad Tournament held in mid-April. Despite facing less-than-ideal weather conditions, your
commitment to the game was nothing short of inspiring. It takes great resilience and passion to
compete under those circumstances, and you all demonstrate an unwavering spirit. Although we fell
short in the competition, I am optimistic about our chances next year, and I know we can come back
even stronger!
Finally, I would like to reiterate my appreciation to all club members and the executive board for your
incredible dedication and support. Your efforts play a significant role in making our club an enjoyable
and enriching environment for all members. I look forward to seeing you out on the golf course soon,
sharing stories and experiences as we continue this wonderful season together.
As we move forward, I encourage everyone to engage in our upcoming activities. Additionally, I’m
excited to remind everyone about our new initiative: any member who attends our meetings will
receive a chance to win a $25 gift card as a token of our appreciation for your involvement. It’s our
way of saying thank you for your commitment to the club.
Here’s to a great May ahead and many exciting tournaments to come!
Best regards,
Ted Lewandowski
